Our hire fleet consists of the latest short wheel based T6.1 Volkswagen Transporters. They create the best camper conversion out there and offers a great campervan hire experience, ideal for couples, families and single travellers. Our vehicles have the 5-speed manual gearbox with 110 BHP which gives you plenty of power.
All our campers are the newest model T6.1’s. They have air conditioning for hot summer days and diesel heaters for those colder nights. cruise control for effortless driving and reversing sensors enable you to get into the tightest of spots. For entertainment they’re equipped with app connect, carplay, DAB radio, bluetooth plus USB C charging.
Inside we have a swivel double passenger seat, spacious double rock and roll bed, gas hob for cooking, fridge/freezer, sink, dining table, and electricity hook up. All this under the premium Skyline Auora pop top roof for extra height and comfort inside the camper.
Why hire with Tyne Campers?
There are lots of VW Campervan hire rental companies in England with lots of different types of VW Campervan conversions. Whilst all of them may offer short-wheel based campervans for hire, not many of them will offer new T6.1 models and fewer still will offer quality conversions.

We hired a VW camper for a week and drove the southwest Scotland 300 route. The van was brand new and had everything we needed, fridge, sink, gas jobs, pans, plates etc. We drove about 540 miles which cost us £65 in petrol to fill the tank back up so it was surprisingly economical. Communication was really easy and the collection and drop off process was quick, we were even able to collect the camper earlier than expected so got our holiday underway sooner. We will definitely hire from Tyne campers again 🙂
